The Million Surfer March - The World Wide Web is Worth Saving

The character of the World Wide Web is under assault by the greedy-beyond-the-dreams-of-avarice big telecoms. And make no mistake: if those holding the reins of corruptible power in Washington D.C. have their way, i.e. the telecoms get their way, the web will begin to die.

Don't know much about the issue? Well, let's put it this way. Anytime you have google, microsoft (strange bedfellows), apple, disney, and AARP all lining up on one side and on the other side you have AT&T, Verizon, and Comcast, it's not hard to figure out who's wearing the whitehats and who's wearing the black hats.

Well...maybe it's a "bit" hard since microsoft so often wears a black hat and google's hat is lately more off-white than white, but, trust me, the bad guys here are the telecoms.
