Is it appropriate to use the word Scrumptious (and am I spelling it right?)

Many years ago, when I spent hours in the gym on a daily basis in the pursuit of Conan-like muscledom, I would occasionally read a bodybuilding mag by publisher, Robert Kennedy. It may have been titled "Muscle Mag International", I'm not really sure.

But the funny part about the magazine (aside from the blowup doll ads in the back) was the fact that Mr. Kennedy, when he wrote about various female bodybuilders of the day (this was back in the days of Rachel McLish--known as McLish the dish--when you didn't need a dna test to distinguish the female bodybuilders from the male bodybuilders), would use the term "scrumptious". Quotes accompanying photos of males would go something like "Lee Haney powers through a set of bench presses" while quotes accompanying photos of females would be on the order of "Rachel Mclish curling iron. Mmmm. Scrumptious!"

It cracked me up back then. And to some extent, I thought it was a little weird. But...here I am looking at the photo of Amanda Tapping in the prior post and the word "scrumptious" just jumps out all over the place.

I'll continue this post shortly but my dvr copy of the last episode of Lost is calling my name.

...

...

Well, that was a much longer break than I thought it would be. I sort of petered out after watching my recording of last week's Lost episode. The critics were right, though. It was a great episode. Now, the question is "Where are they?". Is the island, in actuality, an island, or some portion of the afterlife? Could it even be hell? More questions and more reasons to keep watching this show. And sawyer's father definitely deserved what he got.

Ok, where was I? Oh, yeah. Scrumptious. Ok. I've always had that sentiment about the character of Samantha Carter on Stargage SG-1. Luckily, for Amanda Tapping, they've always played down that aspect of her character, choosing instead to portray her as more cerebral. I say luckily because I think her character may get more respect that way.

But...have you ever noticed something (and I just now noticed it)? You know what, let me continue this in the next post because it deserves its own post.
