Just a few loosely related bits of search engine flotsam.

1. I had no idea that MyBlogLog was owned by Yahoo, but I found this out in an article on WebproNews.

2. Ask.com represents 10 percent of the Google publisher network. In other words, they provide a lot of adsense clicks.

The question for me is, will Ask ever rise above just a few percentage points in search engine market share. Frankly, I've never found a reason to use this engine. There are just too many ads plastered on its search results pages (serps, as we say in the "biz").

3. Despite recent speculation that microsoft might possibly acquire Yahoo, MS (mega-shit) says it already has "all the pieces" it needs.

That's actually a pretty humorous statement when you consider the fact that Yahoo has about a quarter of the search market and MSN only has about 11 percent.
