Xbox Live is without a doubt very cool. I finally bought a subscription just to satisfy my curiousity (is that curiosity?) and didn't get my hopes up too much---I've had a lot of disappointments as far as games and gaming products are concerned. But...I popped in Halo and it was like the clouds parted. I was amazed at how good the system works. There are some irritating things, of course, such as occasional pauses in the gameplay when it's reconfiguring; but, for the most part, it's wonderful.
Only thing is, though, other than Halo and Project Gotham racing, I'm having trouble finding people who are playing some of the games I'd like to play online, such as multiplayer for DOOM, Project Snowblind, and Darkwatch. So, I'm going to search the web and try to get a feel for the Xbox live games that people ARE playing.
So far, I've found players in Halo (duh), Project Gotham Racing, Mech Assault, and Star Wars Battlefront. But nix on the three I mentioned. I'm hoping that I'll find people playing some of the Midway treasures games, but we'll see.
