Foxxxylove - "I'm an equal opportunity hater"

I haven't visited Foxxxylove's site for a while. But it's definitely one of the best blogs around. And others agree as well.

Anonymous reviewer of foxxxylove's blog: "That bitch be keeping it real".

Hey, that wasn't me who said that and I don't have multiple personality disorder either. In fact, the owner of that comment will remain anonymous because I value that individual's health and well-being and foxxxylove could probably lay a hurt on her ass.

Here's a neat post from her blog about fergie, and, on a number of points, I have to say I concur.

Fergalicious? HELL TO THE NAW!

Forty Year Old Virgin -- not bad

A guy who's got an apartment full of toys, comic books, video games, and sci-fi collectibles. Kinda hits home. All except for the virgin part.

I'd recommend this movie (which I watched on high def last night). Not the funniest movie I've ever seen, but definitely ranks up there with Grandma's boy, which was pretty funny. Actually, one of the best parts of the movie is at the end with the credits (I won't spoil it if you haven't seen it)

Steve Carell is pretty good to watch. He's understated and that actually makes him more interesting and humorous. This is very different from the Will Ferrell approach (who is extremely funny in a different way).

Here's the wikipedia page on Steve Carell and the rotten tomatoes page that lists reviews of "The forty year old virgin". I haven't read those reviews, but if they say the movie sucks, ignore them. What the fuck do they know.

Whoa! I just noticed this movie came out in 2005. Frack! I'm really behind.

What sucks about the Digg Riot

.....But now, after seeing hundreds of stories and reading thousands of comments, youve made it clear. Youd rather see Digg go down fighting than bow down to a bigger company. We hear you, and effective immediately we wont delete stories or comments containing the code and will deal with whatever the consequences might be.

If we lose, then what the hell, at least we died trying.

Kevin Rose, the founder of Digg, posted that. Now here's why this whole Digg Riot thing sucks and I'll use a few comments from Webmasterworld to illustrate:

jecasc said "The users shout "censorship" from their comfortable chair of anonymity and let the site owner face the consequences. If you take a look at most of the entries you will notice that most people are very eager to preserve their anonymity by using flickr or even editing wikipedia entries to cover their own behind. "

and also said:

"The users loudly demand Digg should stand up for their freedom of speech and take all the fire while they stay behind in their trenches of anonymity and duck for cover. That's what I do not like in this case. You cannot demand that others take risks you are not willing to take yourself."

I don't mind cowards. "He who runs away lives to run another day". But I do hate cowards who try to take some stand while protecting their own ass and hanging someone else's out to dry.

Now, here's something weird. Before I even thought of this post, I've had an Incubus song running through my head all day long. The song is "Dig". No lie.

Spiderman 3 - Yes!

I can't wait to see this flick. You know, most sequels tend to disappoint and sometimes even suck, which is you don't see too many trilogies (exceptions: lord of the rings, Bourne, the first three Rocky movies, The FIRST Star Wars trilogy, The Matrix...ok the third matrix installment was not so great but it was definitely watchable).

The Spiderman series, however, will most likely be another addition to the short list of great movie trilogies. I'm presupposing here because I haven't seen the movie yet, but judging from the reactions in Asia, it's good. And, to be honest, if it wasn't a great movie I'd be very surprised because Spiderman I was fantastic and Spiderman 2 exceeded the first one (great story development).

One question: Why is the film being released in Asia before the U.S. ? What's up with that? I thought all the big movies were released here first?
