Beware of Ferrets on kitchen counters

title: Chloe on Counter, about to cause trouble

Ferrets love kitchen counters...and cupboards, and areas under the sink, and table tops, and spaces between couch cushions, and medicine cabinets (a big big no-no), and book shelves, and, really, just about anywhere they can go, as long as there's something there that's of interest, or potentially of interest.

This is one of the things that makes ferrets so interesting and endearing: their bad-to-the-bone need to explore EVERYTHING. It's also what makes them, at times, an incredible pain in the ass (if you worry about the safety of your ferret, yes, your ferret will be thought of by you, now and then, as a pain-in-the-ass).

Web Scammers and a Scam letter I just got

I used to hate web scammers immensely but now I just find them funny (except for the ones that engage in copyright infringement and I have a lawyer for those--its really nice when they have an adsense account because meting justice out to them is fairly easy). Wait, I take that back. I still hate the paypal spoofers because they tend to prey upon the elderly. I report those guys everytime and I wish just once I could get my hands on one of them (I used to be a bodybuilder and have been told that I have a grip of steel slash grip of death, which, from what I've read, is superior to the kung fu grip).

Here's a scam email I just received. I think I'll start posting these as I get them. Personally, I pray for a plague of veneral diseases to descend upon this entire host of web maggots.

Personal blogging and I can't find the bug spray

I admire anyone who has a web business and can still do a lot of personal blogging. It can be difficult due to time constraints but also due to the nature of operating a web business. I read one of Opal's recent posts about the amount of time she puts into her web stuff. I understand completely. Myself, I typically start working at about 6am or 7am and, though I take periodic breaks, I'm still working into the evening hours. This is a seven day schedule by the way. I have actually had gaps as long as a month where I've not turned on my pretty, high def LCD television and have not played Halo online, which is quite sad since Halo is the only game I play anymore (I have had a copy of Lost Planet for a few weeks but have yet to get it out of the wrapping). How many hours do I put in online? I'd say about 60-70 hours a week quite easily. But it's not just the amount of time that's being consumed by work, its the constant amount of shifting gears between one site and another, and one project and another. My desk is now completely virtual and is composed of my monitor's desktop (on several different computers) filled with notepad and word documents detailing where I am on a particular project. Its quite maddening at times just to keep track of what "I think" I'm doing on a particular day. For instance, today I found a small bug in the house (sounds like a tangent, but its not really). Which isn't so bad except that I really hate bugs and I found the same kind of bug in the house two days ago (north carolina is full of bugs, though not nearly as many as florida or louisiana). So, of course, I went off to find the bug spray. Couldn't find it. Looked everywhere. Even in the new under-the-sink organizers that I purchased last week. I blame not being able to find the bug spray on having too many things to do. Which takes me back to the personal blogging thing and having way too many things to do already. I was thinking of starting a new blog or site about my ferret Chloe. I'll have to nix that idea and simply incorporate her into this blog. Which should be good since I usually have something in my head on a daily basis regarding what that ferret has done lately. Now, off to find the bug spray.
